An Awesome April at Fernbank
If your team didn’t make the Final Four and you can’t make it to the Master’s Tournament, Fernbank can put a spring in your step! Spend spring break among the dinos or outdoors among fantastical creatures, party after dark or be an early bird, pet some animals or become one with nature – we have all this and more in April
LARGER-THAN-LIFE EXHIBITS
April is the first full month that Spirit Guides: Fantastical Creatures from the Workshop of Jacobo and María Ángeles is open in WildWoods. It is also the last full month that Ultimate Dinosaurs is open. Don’t miss out on either of these exhibits!
AFTER-HOURS EXTRAVAGANZAS
For the second year in a row is Sips & Science on April 3, a party with a purpose that’s dedicated to raising funds for the next generation of explorers. The following week is Fernbank After Dark: Booze and Botanicals on April 11, where you can explore the intoxicating uses of flora and fauna after hours.
TAKE A HIKE
Enjoy the spring weather with a morning hike on April 6! From 7 – 9 a.m., you can walk through Fernbank Forest with a Fernbank educator as the sun rises and nature comes to life.

LITTLE CRITTERS, BIG DAY
A fan-favorite Discovery Day is back this month — Little Critters Day is from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. on April 19! Spend some quality time with baby animals to celebrate spring and then enjoy a full day exploring the museum.

GET YOUR CAMERAS READY
From April 25 – 28 is the Atlanta City Nature Challenge, where we encourage you to get outside, whether it be in your backyard or at Fernbank, and take pictures of the nature around you to upload in a national competition to have the most plants, animals and fungi recorded.

Need to escape the pollen or unpredictable spring weather? We’ve got you covered with three floors of exhibits and movies on our giant screen. Weather outside is perfect?
