Step into the shoes of a paleontologist for Fernbank’s Dino Day! Kick off the grand opening of our newest exhibit, Ultimate Dinosaurs, with a dino-mite day full of exciting activities and crafts. Then complete your day with a walk through the exhibit among the dinosaurs from South America, Africa and Madagascar.

Ask a Paleontologist
Ask all your burning dinosaur questions to two paleontologists! You will also have the chance to see and touch fossils and replicas for an interactive learning experience.
Dino-hats
Make a dinosaur hat to step into the world of roaring giants.
Fossil Making
Using air-dry clay, create your own fossils of your favorite dinosaurs.
Paper Plate Dino
Create your own dinosaur species with paper plates and colorful paper.
Pangea Puzzle
Explore how the continents drifted apart, leading to the unique evolution of dinosaurs in different regions in this supercontinent spectacle.
Dinosaur Footprint Ruler
Measure life-size footprints of dinosaurs and compare them to the feet of different animals.

Unleash your creativity by coloring Southern Hemisphere dinosaurs.
